The photographs that illustrate this book represent a careful selection of historical images of the Palau de la Música Catalana and the Orfeó Català from 1891 to 1975, a key period in the musical, cultural and political life of our country. This vision transports us to a less well-known Palau, built by the architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner, using unpublished images, from the discovery of the concerts in the early years to the most distressing episodes of the Civil War and the post-war period, to finally arrive at the resumption of musical activity at the dawn of a new cycle.
